The Russian occupation forces have changed their assault tactics on the Pokrovsk direction, where the situation is currently critical. Previously, the invaders stormed Pokrovsk “head-on”, but now they have begun to bypass the city from the flanks.
This was announced during a telethon on Thursday, December 12, by Mykola Koval, head of the press service of the 14th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Chervona Kalina”. According to him, fierce fighting is ongoing in the Pokrovsk area, and the enemy has advanced 6-10 km from the city.

The enemy is trying to capture the city by all possible means and is sending its manpower and equipment to this front line for disposal around the clock.
“For two months they only went head-on and suffered heavy losses. Now they have realized that they are not succeeding, and are starting either from the left or right flank – trying to break through our defenses. We are holding back the enemy as much as possible, because Pokrovsk is a strategically important city,” Koval said.

“The enemy has recently started using ATVs, motorcycles, and automobiles, because that’s how they move faster and easier. As for heavy equipment – tanks and armored vehicles, they use it only in exceptional cases – from closed positions,” the press officer said.
During each assault, which takes place every 40-50 days, the Red Kalina fighters alone eliminate about ten occupiers. But this, the military officer emphasized, does not stop the Russian army.
“As soon as a group enters, we destroy it, repel the assault. Another group immediately follows it,” Koval noted.
Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War confirmed that Russian troops continue to achieve tactical successes in the offensive south of Pokrovsk, attacking the weak points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russian military is trying to conduct a detour maneuver to attack Pokrovsk from the south .

As OBOZ.UA reported, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky visited fighters in the Pokrovsky direction. He stated that on this section of the front “non-standard decisions have to be made” to increase the stability of the defense and more effectively destroy the enemy.

“The enemy is trying to capture the city by all possible means and is sending its manpower and equipment to this front line for disposal around the clock.”
You gotta love Ukrainians, keeping up the humor in the face of an onslaught by a brutal and evil-to-the-core enemy.
The entire crap hole must be disposed of.
🤟😎
Why haven’t the defenders got sufficient quantities of cluster munitions; which kill orcs in big numbers?
Thermite, napalm etc should be used. Anything to stop the filth.
Beats me, Scradge. You know, if it were up to me, the cockroaches would be roasting all across the battlefield. None would be left alive.
