For a long time, comments in support of missile strikes on Ukraine were regularly found in public forums in Tuapse and Krasnodar Krai. Now, when the war has literally “flown” to Russian oil depots, the rhetoric in the comments has changed from victorious to panicky.
The Ukrainian segment of the Internet responded to this with a flurry of memes. Photos of polluted beaches in Tuapse are captioned as “healing mud for those who supported the war.”
Complaints from Tuapse residents about damaged clothes and cars after the black rain only raise counter-questions about how Ukrainians felt under shelling all this time.
The main theme of the jokes was the concept of karma. Users ironically said that “oil rain” is the logical conclusion of supporting aggression.

Those who dared to express “sympathy” to the residents of Tuapse due to the environmental disaster were reminded that the situation was not an act of aggression against the Russian Federation, but a direct consequence of Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
In particular, a video from March 2022 has been republished online, in which Russians sincerely rejoiced at the shelling of Ukrainian cities and the killing of civilians. Residents of Tuapse rode around with symbols of Putin’s army and Russian flags, talking about “Nazis” while their army fired missiles at Ukrainian cities.
