Moscow will definitely react if the US imposes “hellish sanctions” against Russia over Ukraine.
According to TASS , Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), commenting on statements by US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland about sanctions against Russia, “which have not yet happened in the past.”
“If new, as they said, hellish sanctions follow, then, of course, we will react. We cannot but react. How we react will be seen,” he said.
Commenting on the words of Nuland, Lavrov also noted that “everything happens for the first time.” “Before that, there were also sanctions, which did not exist. Our Western colleagues simply absolutely lost the culture of dialogue, diplomatic negotiations, reaching consensus, the ability to creatively seek a balance of interests,” he added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 2, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that together with the Secretary of State of the United States of America Anthony Blinken they were developing a comprehensive package of restraining the Russian Federation from further aggressive actions against Ukraine. The package includes political and diplomatic pressure, preparation of tough economic sanctions in case of expansion of aggression and enhanced cooperation with Ukraine in the field of security and defense.
Earlier, on December 1, Blinken threatened the Russian Federation with influential previously unused economic measures in the event of an invasion of Ukraine. The US Secretary of State called on the Russian Federation to withdraw weapons from the borders of Ukraine, stop shelling in Donbas and fulfill the Minsk agreements.

Who cares about laughable sanctions? The Ukrainian Armed Forces will produce more Cargo 200 shipments to Moscow than the Taliban back in the 80’s.

When Blinken told Lavrov about these sanctions, him and fellow Russian terrorists walked out of the meeting after 30 minutes. That must be the reaction Lavrov was talking about, they don’t want to hear the truth, so running away means it doesn’t exist.
