Buildings in the historic center of Lviv were damaged as a result of the morning missile and drone attack . The first deputy mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko, announced this on KYIV24 .

According to him, as a result of the strike, two districts of the city were damaged, that is more than 150 houses.
“Most of the six buildings are destroyed, that is, they are not subject to classic restoration, where you can change the windows. Six Lviv residents died in one of these buildings,” Moskalenko said.
He added that one of the rockets hit a place near the City Hall.
“This is the center of the city, it is an architectural monument, a historical quarter. In this quarter, 26 buildings, two schools and two medical facilities were damaged,” the official said.
According to the State Emergency Management Department in Lviv region, the work to eliminate the consequences of the morning enemy shelling has been completed. 12 people were saved.
“53 people were injured, seven were killed, among them, according to confirmed data, two children (ages 7 and 14),” the report says.
According to the mayor of the city Andriy Sadovoy, 64 people, including eight children, have turned to the hospitals of the First Medical Association after the morning enemy shelling.
The head of the city noted that September 5 has been declared the Day of Mourning in Lviv.
