The Russian Federation struck Odessa during Zelensky’s meeting with the Greek Prime Minister: it “flew” nearby

The meeting participants did not even have time to go down to the shelter.

During a meeting in Odessa between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Russia struck the city. According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Ukrainian leader announced this during a joint briefing.

“We saw this strike today. You see who we are dealing with, they don’t care where to hit – military or civilians… I know that there were casualties today, I don’t know all the details yet, but I know. That there are casualties , there are wounded,” Zelensky said.

According to Kyriakos Mitsotakis, they were in the Odessa seaport at the time of the attack. Zelensky and his staff showed the port and talked about its importance, as well as what is needed to expand the capabilities of the sea corridor for civilian ships.

“Already at the end we heard the sound of sirens and there were explosions that occurred very close to us. We did not have time to go to some protected place. And therefore this is a very impressive experience. We understand that this war concerns everyone. There are no people who are outside this war. This war has no mercy on anyone,” said the Greek Prime Minister.

  1. It’s good that Mitsotakis gets such a first hand impression of Russia’s terror operation. I know that Greece needs to stay well armed in order to keep the Turks at bay, but some arms deliveries should be possible. Especially, Mitsotakis should replace old cold war stock with new vehicles from Korea or another country with the capacity to deliver. There’s still huge demand for BMPs and M-113 in the AFU! Also, there should be an investment in new ammo production capacity. This war proves that this is necessary for defence! 🤨

    • Absolutely, Mr. Gray. I was thinking the same thing. Everyone should have such an experience. It’s a real eye-opener. I also agree with everything else you said.

  2. Greece is a horribly pro-Russia/pro-putler country; 60% are opposed to helping Ukraine. That’s a lot of arseholes.
But Mitsotakis is a good guy. He’s come to visit Zel despite rather than because of public opinion.
Because of its Turkey problem Greece has a big military. I hope they will send a load of stuff to Zel now that putler has insulted them with this latest display of naziism.

    • I also hope so, Scradge. The attack while he was visiting probably had a profound effect on him and might make him see the dire need for military aid for Ukraine.

  3. According to Greek media, which cite anonymous sources in the Greek government, the attack was carried out on Zelenskyy’s motorcade while he was with the Greek delegation. The explosion occurred shortly before the meeting of the leaders, 150 meters from the location of the delegation from Greece. It is reported that no one in the delegations was injured.

  4. Ukrainians bury their children in Odessa.

Meanwhile, Congress remains more deaf, blind, immature and ineffective than ever.

I hope that the orange baboon and the slug that preside over the House will be haunted forever by the souls of these children crushed by orc missiles.

I continue to hope for a Republican reaction which will block the rise of the Red threat by voting massively for aid to Ukraine. We implore you to take actions that save lives and not to cloister yourself in criminal immobility.
