The occupiers blame Ukraine for the poisonings.
The Russian Federation stated that the head of the so-called “LPR” Leonid Pasechnik was poisoned with a potent toxic substance.
The head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Igor Kirillov, claims that Pasechnik allegedly received severe poisoning with phenolic compounds on December 5, 2023.
“Before this, Pasechnik’s poisoning had not been reported,” the statement said .
Kirillov also stated that in August 2022, the “governor” of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, was poisoned with the chemical ricin, which was allegedly found in biomedical samples.
