The Reni automobile checkpoint was reconstructed in the Odessa region

The international automobile checkpoint “Reni” opened after reconstruction on the border of Ukraine, Moldova and Romania in the area of the Moldovan town of Giurgiulesti.

This was reported by the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure.

The reconstruction included renovation of the facade and interior of the administrative building, replacement of the road surface, installation of new road signs, information signs and road markings.

Deputy Minister Sergei Derkach explained that the launch of joint control on the Ukrainian side will increase the capacity of this section of the border.

“The launch of full-fledged joint control is the first step in the implementation of the green corridor initiative between the Ukrainian checkpoint Reni, the Moldovan Giurgiulesti and the Romanian Galați. Now no more than 50 trucks pass through Reni per day. Our goal is to at least double this number,” he said.

Derkach also emphasized that the next step within the framework of the “green corridor” initiative should be the launch of coordinated control at the Romanian point together with Moldovan colleagues – this will open a fast route and corridor to the Romanian port of Galati.

In addition to trucks, buses will also undergo control; a separate lane with a terminal is provided for them at the checkpoint.
DEATH TO THE RUSSIAN OCCUPANTS!

  1. Btw, relevant in this context:
“Business Insider: NATO Has Idea On How To Close Ukrainian Sky”
    https://charter97.org/en/news/2024/5/19/595669/
“Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, in particular, expressed the conviction that interceptor missiles can be launched from the territory of NATO member states neighboring Ukraine, such as Poland and Romania, to cover at least the western Ukrainian regions.”
That would be a good move. Better late than never! 😎

    • What about the usual cowards in NATO, like Scholz? I know that many in Germany’s government are supporting this idea, but I haven’t heard anything about what the eunuch thinks about it.

      • Yeah, you found the sore point immediately, Mr. Facts: It’s great that Nato insiders and German lawmakers are all for deploying air defence at the Ukrainian border, but if cowards like Scholz refuse to make that happen, nothing will come out of it. Still, I’m carefully optimistic. Defensive arms like surface-to-air missiles have been less of a political problem than arms usable for attacks, after all. And the legal reasoning that Nato will only create a safety zone to protect its own borders is quite sound, imho. Let’s wait and see. 🤔

        • In my humble opinion, Mr. Gray, people like Scholz and Biden, and others like them, pay far too much attention to mafia land’s feelings. They should just do what’s right and live with the consequences. What consequences? None, whatsoever.

          • Yup, the weird concern about Putin’s feelings is obvious. No other mass murderer since effing Adolf Hitler in 1938 has received so much empathy by heads of state, ever. It’s crazy. 🙄
