The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg registered the prosecutor’s statement of claim banning a video with kissing girls posted on the Instagram of the Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana.
According to the press service of the St. Petersburg courts, the prosecutor’s office considered that the video contained information “denying family values and promoting non-traditional sexual relations.”
The prosecutor’s lawsuit was left unchanged until June 7.
The video was posted on the Dolce & Gabbana Instagram on February 13. The description states that the brand supports TrevorProject, an American organization for the prevention of suicide among young LGBT people.
In recent months, courts in St. Petersburg have banned more than 10 anime at the request of the prosecutor’s office . The prosecutor’s office explained that the claims were related to the absence of age restrictions on the sites with these anime.
In December 2020, the St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office demanded to ban the rapper Morgenstern’s song “I ate my grandfather,” but later abandoned this requirement.
