The Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft resolution on the approval of the Procedure for the use of funds provided in the state budget to replenish the authorized capital of the state enterprise Boryspil International Airport.
A new terminal complex is planned to be built five kilometers from the airport, at Kyivsky Shlyakh, 2 / 1a in Boryspil.
“We are talking about the completion of the terminal at Boryspil Airport – a long-term construction, which had to be built before Euro 2012. So far, the relevant changes have been supported by MPs. We are now adopting the procedure for using these funds, “Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov commented during a government meeting.
It was planned that in the new hall the arriving passengers will be able to pass quickly and without queues under the simplified scheme. The complex wanted to accommodate several meeting rooms, offices and recreation areas.
The project itself envisages the completion of the construction of a terminal complex for 8,480 m2 and a platform for 2 B-747 aircraft. The terminal will be able to serve up to 150 people per hour.
The complex has a large hall of official delegations, customs and passport control, a meeting room for officials, departure / arrival halls, security room and utility rooms.
The station area of the terminal complex provides for restrictions on entry and access control (regime zone).
