On the night of November 10, explosions were heard in Tuapse, Russia . The local port was attacked by naval drones, and there were hits.
It is reported that a hit was made near one of the piers, and the ship may have been damaged. Footage of the aftermath of the attack, filmed by the Russians, has appeared online.
What is known
An air alert was declared in Tuapse (Krasnodar Territory) at around 11:00 p.m. Kyiv time the day before, November 9. The Russians were warned of an attack by naval drones.
And it seems to have been effective.
“In Tuapse, the alert for the BEK continues. Locals report successful outcomes. One of the ships was probably hit,” the Exilenova+ Telegram channel reported at night.
Meanwhile, an analysis of footage published online with signs of a fire in the port area, conducted by an analyst at Dnipro Osint, showed that the probable hit was recorded near pier 167, while the video was shot from a residential building on Frunze Street, northeast of it.
A number of media outlets wrote that ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet usually moor at the aforementioned pier.
The effectiveness of the attack is indirectly confirmed by posts in local public forums: their administrators desperately hint to the Russians that they need to refrain from voicing the details of the arrivals and publishing footage of their consequences – and that the residents of Tuapse have something to “take offense” at the Ukrainian soldiers.
It seems that not everyone heeded the warnings: footage appeared online, capturing the moment of arrival at the port.
OBOZ.UA previously reported that on November 2, drones had already attacked the port in Tuapse. Fires broke out there then, and a tanker was also damaged.
The operation was carried out by soldiers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Defense Forces. The strikes caused damage to the infrastructure.
Five drone hits were recorded. A tanker caught fire after the flights, and at least four oil tanker stand-offs that load and unload tankers were disabled. Port buildings were also damaged, and a pipeline was hit.
In total, Ukrainian soldiers sent 12 drones to the port. After the attack, a satellite recorded an oil spill.
