Kalianinov received his Master’s degree in Aviation Transport in April 2021.
The pilot Alexander Kalyaninov, who died in a plane crash in Kazakhstan, studied at the flight academy in the Ukrainian city of Kropyvnytskyi. This was reported to Ukrinform by the head of the Ukrainian State Flight Academy, Serhiy Nedilko.
He specified that Kalianinov received his master’s degree in aviation transport in April 2021, while studying at the Ukrainian State Flight Academy (then the NAU Flight Academy).

According to Nedilko, Alexander studied at the flight operations department under the educational and professional program “Flight Operation of Aircraft” and received the qualifications of “pilot engineer” and “research engineer”:
“Since childhood, Alexander Kalyaninov dreamed of becoming a pilot like his father. During the plane crash, pilot Alexander Kalyaninov, together with captain Igor Kshnyakin, saved dozens of lives.”
