Nalyvaichenko believes that no matter what Putin and his entourage do now, the situation will only worsen for them.
People’s deputy Valentyn Nalyvaichenko is convinced that the Russians will not support the introduction of martial law and the announcement of mobilization and will en masse surrender to the Armed Forces .
He reminded that the Russian Federation has now announced a counter-terrorist operation in three regions – Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod.

“They announce such operations because they cannot protect their own citizens in their country. Putin and his entourage are always bluffing when they say that they will use much more powerful weapons than they use on the battlefield,” said the People’s Deputy on Espresso .
Nalyvaichenko believes that no matter what Putin and his entourage do now, the situation will only worsen: in the event of the introduction of martial law in Russia, he will be forced to announce mobilization.
“However, he cannot do this. In the Kursk region, during our operation, a large number of Russian conscripts surrender immediately, and this is only at the border. If you imagine that during martial law in Russia, more than 200,000 people are immediately mobilized, then at least 10 % of them will surrender immediately. Putin is leading Russia to a large-scale disaster. He and his entourage will not do it, the people’s deputy explained.
The possibility of mobilization in the Russian Federation
A growing shortage of soldiers for the war in Ukraine is prompting Russia to increase payments to contract soldiers to avoid a repeat of the unpopular mobilization. At the moment, there are few signs that it works. Bloomberg writes about this, citing sources in the Kremlin and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“Regional officials are currently failing to meet an average of more than a third of their recruitment quotas. … The situation could force Russia to start a new mobilization . Officials could present it as a rotation measure to rest front-line troops. … Conscription could begin as early as the end of this year.” , – the article says.
