NASAMS complexes at war in Ukraine
On Monday, November 7, it became known that the NASAMS and Aspide air defense systems have already arrived in Ukraine. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov emphasized that these weapons will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian army and make our skies safer
Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that the systems work effectively in the air defense system. According to him, NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems shoot down 100% of cruise missiles.
In addition, military expert Oleg Zhdanov noted that two NASAMS or IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile complexes are needed to cover the skies of Kyiv or Kharkiv. At the same time, one such air defense complex may be enough to protect smaller cities from threats from the air.
