There are less than 70 days left until the administration of the new president – Donald Trump – enters the White House.

The Pentagon is determined to provide Ukraine with $7.1 billion in aid remaining from the previously approved funding until the end of the current US President Joe Biden’s administration.

“As we continue to replenish our own stockpiles, you will see how weapons will continue to be transferred (to Ukraine – ed.),” Pentagon deputy spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said during the briefing.

According to the deputy spokeswoman of the US Department of Defense, there are less than 70 days left before the arrival of the administration of the new president – Donald Trump – in the White House. She noted that the Pentagon “is capable of doing incredible work” in this short period of time.

Singh reminded that the current US President Joe Biden clearly stated that he wants to deliver all the aid approved by Congress to Ukraine before the end of his term.

“We will work very hard to ensure this,” she added.

Singh also drew attention to the fact that from the very beginning, the United States allocated sufficiently large aid packages to Ukraine. Recently, deliveries have been announced very often, almost every week:

“I expect that over the coming months of this administration, you will continue to see these packages emerge from what is available in our stockpile.”

The Pentagon’s deputy spokeswoman also said that Ukraine will also receive weapons within the framework of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). This program provides for the conclusion of contracts for the production of new weapons for the Armed Forces at American enterprises.

It is noted that weapons from the reserves of the American army will be sent in a short time. At the same time, deliveries via USAI will take much longer – sometimes it can take years.
