On Monday, February 2, OSCE Head of State and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis and Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu arrived in Kyiv on a working visit. The purpose of their visit to Ukraine was to discuss security and diplomatic cooperation.
Cassis reported this on his Facebook page. The OSCE leaders were personally met on the platform by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.

“As OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, I arrived in Kyiv today with OSCE Secretary General Sinirlioglu. I am here to reaffirm the OSCE’s role as a platform for dialogue and its readiness to support efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in accordance with international law and the Helsinki principles,” the post reads.

It is worth noting that in 2026 Switzerland assumed the OSCE chairmanship for the third time.
The priorities of the Swiss mandate include laying the foundations for a just end to the war in Ukraine, strengthening the inclusive nature of the Organization, and updating its instruments for responding to current challenges to European security.
As a reminder, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka visited Ukraine on January 9. The train he was traveling on was delayed due to an attack by Russian occupiers.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro paid a working visit to Kyiv on December 20. This is the politician’s first visit to Ukraine since the beginning of his term . He emphasized that the visit is of “very special significance” as Ukraine needs solidarity and financial support.
