The Odesa Regional Council did not support the amendment to the presidential “victory plan” to end the war by defeating the Russian Federation

The Odesa Regional Council refused to support the amendment of the head of the “European Solidarity” faction Mykhailo Shmushkovych to the presidential “victory plan” regarding the need to end the war by defeating Russia.

As the correspondent of “Dumska” reports, at the session, deputies considered the issue of supporting the document presented by Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Mykhailo Shmushkovych suggested adding the words “by defeating the aggressor country” to the phrase: “In 2025, we can end this bloody war” in the penultimate paragraph. But his initiative was supported by only 27 people’s elected representatives, the majority preferred simply not to vote.

According to the deputy, such an amendment was caused by the need to clarify how exactly the coalition of “servants of the people” and the banned OPZZ , formed in the regional meetings, sees Ukraine’s victory in the war.

“I am completely sure that the president sincerely wants to end this war with victory, but our regional council very often makes very interesting decisions,” said Mykhailo Shmushkovich. — For example, the president of Ukraine says that it is necessary to put order in the reservation from the draft, and the regional meetings decide that it is necessary to deal with the employees of security companies. The President declares that it is necessary to deal with environmental protection facilities and protected areas even during the Great War, and our regional council twice pushes through decisions to reduce their area in the region. The president says that the money allocated to local councils should first of all be directed to support the army, our regional council spends money on extra deputies and on staff bonuses. Therefore, it is important to understand what some deputies actually mean by the concept of “victory”.

The final appeal to the central authorities regarding the “victory plan” was supported by 51 deputies.

    • Na … it won’t. NATO can’t even defend its own airspace, let alone send troops to Ukraine. That’ll be when there’s subzero temp in hell.
