Authorities in the occupied Crimea plan to begin “nationalizing” mini-hotels that still belong to Ukrainian owners who do not support a large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This was stated by the Russian-appointed head of the occupying power of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov, according to Russian Interfax .
“We have an instrument of nationalization. In this case, all potential objects have already been identified. They will not go anywhere, all decisions will be made in the near future,” said Aksonov.
At the same time, another representative of the occupying power, the so-called “chairman of the Crimean State Council” Volodymyr Konstantinov, suggested extending this proposal to apartments owned by Ukrainians in Yalta, citing debts for communal services as one of the formal grounds.
“Recently, the transfer of these utility bills has ceased to be carried out. There will be a serious problem, because in Yalta it is not 100 apartments and not 200, it is a very large amount,” – said Konstantinov.
