The occupation administration of the Kherson region has launched another stage of the systematic militarization of children from the TOT. A group of 24 teenagers was taken outside the occupied territory – to Volgograd on the territory of the Russian Federation – under the cover of the educational project “Pride of the Nation. The Path of Development.”

The real goal

As it is emphasized, the real goal of the trip is the forced integration of minors into the military infrastructure of the Russian Federation and the formation of a loyal mobilization reserve.

At the so-called “Avangard” defense and sports camp, teenagers were involved in training in UAV operation , military specialties, elements of cyber operations, and tactical training.

At the same time, an ideological bloc was imposed on them: visits to Mamayev Kurgan, “patriotic” ceremonies, and museum propaganda of the war.

The Central Intelligence Agency emphasizes that children are purposefully formed to perceive war as a norm and a path of development.

“Mandatory recommendation”

According to the sources of the Central Intelligence Agency, the selection of participants took place through schools and lyceums under administrative pressure. The heads of educational institutions were presented with plans for the number of children, and the parents were practically left with no alternative – participation was presented as a “mandatory recommendation”. In several cases, families were directly hinted at possible problems with payments, social assistance, and academic performance in case of refusal.

Participation of the occupation governor Saldo

Separately, the participation of the structure of the occupation governor of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo , who publicly supports such trips and uses them as an element of his own propaganda campaign, was recorded.

According to the Central Intelligence Agency, it is through his office that logistics, lists of children, and interaction with Russian military-patriotic centers are coordinated.

“In fact, we are talking about the organized deportation of Ukrainian children from the TOT to the territory of the aggressor state for the purpose of their ideological indoctrination and military socialization. This is a direct violation of the norms of international humanitarian law, which prohibits the involvement of children from occupied territories in military programs and war propaganda. The occupation authorities are purposefully working with an age group that is not yet able to critically assess events, and are turning “educational trips” into a tool for recruiting loyalty,” the Central Intelligence Agency added.
