On the night of June 24, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the space communications center of the Russian occupiers was hit. This is already the second blow to the enemy space infrastructure of the Russian Federation.

According to local Telegram channels, powerful explosions were heard in the village of Vitino, which is located near Yevpatoria, and local residents said that many ambulances arrived at the scene.

In addition, the Crimean Wind public published satellite images that indicate the presence of fires precisely on the territory of the space communications center.

“Satellites note two fires near the Russian 40th separate command and measurement complex (Long-Range Space Communications Center, NIP-16, military unit 81415),” the report said.

As is known, the Russian Army captured this facility during the annexation of the peninsula and, in 2014, transferred the complex to the Aerospace Defense Forces and began its modernization. In 2017, it was reported that the center received 10 new complexes and modernization continued. Russia spent huge amounts of money on such events, Defense Express reports .

At the same time, OSINT researchers of the CyberBoroshno Telegram channel reported that at least one Krasukha electronic warfare system was located on the territory of this facility, intended to cover command posts and other important objects.

It is not yet known what exactly struck the complex.
