The Russian occupation authorities will not rebuild the destroyed areas of the captured cities , but intend to show them to tourists. This was stated in a comment to TASS by the leader of the “DPR” group, subordinate to the Kremlin, Denis Pushilin.

“Many people are familiar with everything related to heroic settlements, including heroic settlements. Of course, this will continue to attract the attention of tourists to see what Avdiivka is, what Vugledar is, what Artemivsk is, formerly Bakhmut, and other settlements. You can <…> preserve an entire block, just to make it clear what people faced at different stages,” he said.

Of course, Pushilin lied that all the destruction of the cities of Donbas was allegedly caused by the Ukrainian army, although in fact it was arranged by Russian troops.

While the occupiers are planning to show the ruins of the cities to tourists, thousands of residents of the captured and destroyed Mariupol complain that the new “authorities” have not fulfilled their promises to restore the destroyed buildings in three years.

“We feel captured and enslaved. What has been happening for the last 3 years is a raider’s seizure. The DPR authorities are taking away our apartments and houses, almost all small businesses have been squeezed out,” Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazanskyi cites the complaints of the townspeople .

Also, residents of Mariupol say that in 3 years the occupiers have not restored a single children’s hospital, and now there is not a single pediatric ward in the city where children could be treated. It is important to emphasize that before the arrival of the “Russian world”, such hospitals existed in the city – they simply got in the way of the “liberators”.
