Russian troops in Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, are surrounded. Fighting continues outside the key city near the border with Russia, but the occupiers are not making any progress there.

“Without much success, there was an attempt to put pressure on Kupyansk-Vuzlovy, who tried to promote Putin. But to say that there was success there is no. Although the pressure is very active this week,” Tregubov emphasized.

He is convinced that the Russian side is trying to adjust reality to its own propaganda statements or adjust the propaganda itself in accordance with the actual situation. After claims of the alleged capture of the city, which were not confirmed, Russia is forced to change its rhetoric and talk about heavy fighting.

In fact, according to Tregubov, Russian units are completely surrounded and are gradually surrendering their weapons.

“But if we talk about the battles around the city, they are going on and the Russians are hoping that maybe they will still manage to break into the city, restore communications and somehow, on the contrary, bring reality into line with propaganda. Most likely, it will not work,” the head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group summed up.

Recall, Tregubov previously said that at least two hundred Russian servicemen are surrounded in several areas of the city and that the occupiers are not advancing there . However, the invaders are unlikely to be able to hold out in Kupyansk for long due to problems with supplies, which are currently carried out only by air.
