Zelenski’s problem is this:
Request planes and no-fly zones from some states. States are (rightly) afraid to come into conflict with Russia.
The solution to Zelensky’s problem is as follows:
They should ask for fighter jets from private individuals, not countries.
For example, a billionaire in a country that allows this can establish his tax residence in Kyiv and register a legal entity. A firm. Then the private individual can buy fighter jets from another company – for example Lockheed Martin.
There are two private individuals in this scheme, one of them being a producer, the other – a private army defending the sky of Ukraine.
No state can be accused of coming into conflict.
The question now is how do we get this message to the right place?
Sounds viable to me. Thoughts?
It seems the jellyfish in NATO are worried nazi putin will get upset and perceive NATO is helping Ukraine. I understand that and using his propaganda machine he can turn around and say it is not poor little putin vs the giant terrible NATO. And the kozi would believe him and rally to him.
The other school of thought is that if putin perceives he will lose, he will melt down earth with nuclear weapons.
In reality we can’t do much about the evil dictator’s perception but we can make sure he remains the bad guy.
IMO he will remain the bad guy if we just TELL him the international community is going to open humanitarian corridors and if he attacks them, the international community will fire back. Put the ball in his court so he can’t turn it around and claim to be the victim.
A second option is to ignore him and again, phrase the Migs as international defensive protection against the invading Russian Nazis.
Here in the US, private individuals would be unable to buy aircraft from the manufacturer if the aircraft is in active service with the US military. Congress would have to get involved and pass a bill allowing it, and the vegetable in the White House would have to sign it. I think you would find the same reaction on that score as you saw on the Polish Mig-29s.
In short, the cabal that put Putin in, are calling the shots and they are bloody idiots.
