She is outraged that in Moscow they are “rolling out the carpet” for Hamas representatives.

The new Israeli Ambassador to Russia Simone Halperin criticized the position of the Russian leadership on the war in the Middle East.

In an interview with the Russian Kommersant , she said that statements by the Russian authorities that Israel’s security is their strategic interest are irrelevant after October 7. Halperin recalled that Russia did not immediately condemn the attack on Israel.

“You have a list of terrorist organizations banned in Russia. The Muslim Brotherhood is also on it. But Hamas is the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Why is it not on this list? Meanwhile, Hamas is open declares that this is not the last October 7th, there will be another seventh October, ten more such seventh Octobers. They don’t hide it, they don’t hide, but, on the contrary, they are proud of it. So why doesn’t Russia speak out not only against terrorism, but also against a repetition October 7? But no, Hamas members are received in Moscow, hugged, carpets are rolled out for them. We cannot understand this,” she was indignant.

The ambassador also asked why Russia does not condemn Iran in the UN Security Council, which is “inciting Hamas,” Hezbollah and the Houthis” to impede freedom of navigation in the Suez Canal and the Red Sea.

“Russia, which itself suffered from terrorist attacks, does not support Israel’s fight against terrorism. On the contrary, it stands in solidarity with the Republic of South Africa, which filed an absurd lawsuit against Israel with the International Court of Justice, accusing it of genocide… Russia’s position worries and depresses me “that because of her, your country is losing the sympathy of Israelis, including Russian speakers,” she added.

After this, it became known that Halperin would be summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs due to “unacceptable public statements that distort Russian foreign policy approaches and historical realities.”

  1. After this, it became known that Halperin would be summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs due to “unacceptable public statements that distort Russian foreign policy approaches and historical realities.”

I see no distortion, no terrorist country has ever condemned terrorists, and mafia land certainly won’t condemn their terrorist buddies.

  2. Is the Netanyahu government waking up to the reality that Putin ain’t a friend? Better late than never. Now support Ukraine in its fight against this terrorist regime, please. So far, Israel has done nothing to help.

  3. I think as soon as Israel is finished with killing HAMAS, they will do what they can to help Ukraine kill mafia land.

    • Jewish-Ukrainian president Zelensky thought so as early as February 25th, 2022, Mr. Ofp. But his pleas for support fell on deaf ears in Israel. I’m not hopeful there will be any deliveries soon. Instead, the effing Gaza war is making Ukraine’s ammunition situation even worse. The IDF has a huge hunger for shells and missiles, apparently because they want to destroy every single building in Gaza.

      • The important thing is that Israel has finally learned the truth that mafia land is not its friend. It beats me how they could’ve been so damned blind about this for so long, seeing that they are usually quite clever. I know that there are some Israeli politicians who are burning to punish mafia land for its support of terrorists.
