It was possible to assemble a full-fledged air defense system “in parts”, which were provided by two countries.

The Netherlands, together with another country, are going to supply the Patriot system to Ukraine . According to NL Times , this was announced by the country’s Minister of Defense Kaisa Ollongren.

According to her, the Netherlands and another country were able to assemble a full-fledged missile system from various elements. This work has been going on for some time.

Ollongren said that air defense is crucial for Ukraine because it allows it to counter many Russian attacks. The minister said it was “very good news” that Romania also announced delivery of its own Patriot system this week.

According to the official, last week at a meeting in Brussels dedicated to the supply of Patriot to Ukraine, another list of assistance was drawn up. The minister says “all the pieces of the puzzle” are on the table.

At the same time, Ollongren did not want to name the second country, together with which the Netherlands assembled a full-fledged air defense system for Ukraine. In her opinion, the involved country should announce this itself.

Also, the minister did not say when this Patriot would get to Ukraine: in order to give the Russians any information.

As NL Times notes, in the past the Netherlands has already transferred individual components for the Patriot system to Ukraine – launchers and interceptor missiles.
