This was announced by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov in an interview with the British broadcaster ITV news.
“Ukraine will return to the 1991 borders and we are not considering any other scenarios. By the end of the year, active hostilities will drop to almost zero. We will resume control over our territories in the foreseeable future,” the message says.
At the same time, Budanov is confident that the Russians will not be successful in the war against Ukraine.
“This is a tragedy to which he led Russia and Ukraine, and it will end in disaster for Russia. Nothing else,” Budanov summed up.
As UNIAN previously reported, Vadim Skibitsky, a spokesman for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin understands that the war in Ukraine will become a war of attrition .
