Russia Rejects India's Peace Proposal for Ukraine Conflict

The Kremlin rejected India’s peace proposal.

Putin says they need a comprehensive solution, and India’s proposal is not one.

Russia refuses to freeze its war against Ukraine because it wants a full-fledged peace treaty concluded immediately. This was stated by the Russian dictator’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, in a comment to Russian propagandists.

Peskov commented on the peace proposals previously conveyed by India to the Ukrainian authorities. He noted that Russia is grateful for any peace initiatives, but the Indian plan is unsuitable because it is “segmental.”

“We’ve repeatedly said that fragmentary solutions, fragmentary agreements, will prevent us from reaching a comprehensive settlement. It must be comprehensive. A temporary halt, a freeze, won’t help either. We need a solution for future generations, guaranteed, insured against disruption,” Putin’s spokesman said.
