Russia called unacceptable the demands to provide detailed explanations regarding military activities in areas adjacent to the territory of Ukraine and in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak announced this on Twitter .

According to him, Moscow has already responded to the demands of Ukraine.

“The response states that it does not conduct any unusual military activities on its territory and that Ukraine’s request under the OSCE Vienna Document is unacceptable,” he said.

Russian invasion threat

On February 11, Joe Biden  , in a conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg  , said that a Russian attack on Ukraine could happen “in the coming days.” The American president  warned the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin,  about a “quick response” in the event of an offensive.

Due to the high risk of hostilities, a number of countries called on their diplomats to leave Ukraine.

US presidential adviser Jake Sullivan suggested the same day that  the Russian invasion could start with missile strikes , and advised the Americans to follow Biden out of Ukraine within the next 48 hours.

Russia called the US forecasts  “escalation of the situation” and “outright disinformation.”

According to the Ministry of Defense, Russia has concentrated more than 100,000 troops near Ukraine. The West fears that the Russian Federation will try to involve these troops in a full-scale attack on Ukraine in the winter.

The United States, together with the EU and Britain, are developing tools to curb the Kremlin’s appetites, including through the imposition of economic sanctions. However, according to the latest press reports,  there is no talk of disconnecting the country from SWIFT  .

  1. “Moscow said it was not conducting any unusual military activity.”
No, pulling your troops together from far and wide and placing them next to a country you’ve been acting aggressively against for the past eight years, is not unusual military activity. That’s about as true as when someone crawls on hands and knees along a freeway and sees it as normal activity.
