The invaders fired eight rockets in the Poltava region: six hit the oil refinery and two hit the thermal power plant

On the morning of June 18, enemy troops launched a missile attack on the Poltava region. Six rockets hit the Kremenchug oil refinery and two hit the thermal power plant.

According to the head of the Poltava OVA Dmitry Lunin, fortunately, there were no casualties.

“This is not the first time the enemy has attacked these facilities. Refineries and thermal power plants during a full-scale war were subjected to the greatest attacks and destruction among the entire infrastructure of the Poltava region, ”said Lunin.

Rescuers are on the scene, he said.

The West could provide Ukraine with effective air defense systems, if it wanted. But, it doesn’t and so this sort of destruction will continue. Maybe the Ukrainian leadership should play the environment card. Every gallon of oil that gets burned by such attacks increases the CO2 emissions. This war is causing an accelerated climate change!
