The ideologist of the “Russian spring”, ex-aide to Putin Vladislav Surkov was arrested.
Ilya Ponomarev, a former State Duma deputy, announced this on Facebook .
Ponomarev refers to his sources in the Russian special services: “Vladislav Surkov is under house arrest. Investigative measures are underway in the case of embezzlement in the Donbass since 2014.
Surkov, recalls Ponomarev, is very well aware of the situation in ORDLO and has many connections among Russian “Donbass veterans.”
At the same time, Surkov is also close to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
Earlier, Bellingcat investigator Hristo Grozev confirmed mass repressions against FSB officers for their failure in Ukraine.
After two weeks of war in Ukraine, Putin launched repressions against the so-called 5th FSB Service (oversees communications with foreign partners).
The media wrote that the leadership of the service – General Beseda and his deputy – were placed under house arrest. Among the reasons are the misuse of funds allocated for operations, as well as poor intelligence information.
