What came before

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council and leader of the United Russia party, says the country is not afraid of being cut off from the international payment system (SWIFT) in the event of an attack on Ukraine.

Against the backdrop of a new aggravation on the Russian-Ukrainian border and against the backdrop of a threat to Eastern Europe from Russia, which, according to intelligence, has concentrated more than 100,000 troops around Ukraine, United States President Joe Biden has already openly threatened the Kremlin  to ban the banks of the aggressor country from any operations with dollar.
