There are several other countries where events have not yet received publicity, Yusov said.

The monopoly of Russian private military companies in the sphere of bandit activity is coming to an end. There are forces that can put these criminals in their place.
This statement was made by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov on the air of the telethon. He refused to confirm the information about the involvement of the Main Intelligence Directorate in the attack on the positions of Russian troops in Syria.
“We can neither confirm nor deny about Syria. Yes, respected media outlets report, and sources report. But the fact remains – someone did attack this Russian base in Syria and there are corresponding consequences of defeat. The aggressor state must bear responsibility for its illegal actions in different parts of the world, and war criminals must be punished,” Yusov emphasized.
He also did not directly confirm the information about the participation of GUR special forces in the operation in Mali, during which a column of mercenaries from the Russian PMC Wagner was routed. “There is information in different corners. Recently there was Sudan, then Mali. There are several other countries, the events in which have not yet received publicity in the media. Here is Syria. Obviously, we are talking about the fact that the monopoly in the sphere of bandit and pirate “activities” of Russian PMCs in the world, in particular, in Africa, is coming to an end,” he noted.
Yusov emphasized that as a result of these events, Russia has suffered image losses. “And the whole world is talking about this. And the violent reactions and howls “in the swamps” (we are talking about Russia – UNIAN) are a clear confirmation of this,” he noted.
Yusov said that the data on the number of killed “Wagnerites” in Mali is being clarified. There were more prisoners, but some of them were exchanged on the spot. At the same time, the intelligence representative refused to answer whether the Tuaregs really want to hand over the prisoners to Ukraine. “We still have to wait on this sensitive issue,” he noted.
Yusov notes that the events in Mali also have military consequences, because after them Russia transferred additional units of mercenaries and terrorists there from other parts of the world, in particular, Africa. “This forces the enemy to spend and divert forces and resources, additional resources to protect its own contingent. In general, these are very good processes and gratitude to those brave and heroic people who carry out such operations in different parts of the world,” Yusov emphasized.
He added that “there will be more to come”, but did not confirm or deny the information about the GUR’s involvement in this operation. He only emphasized that the Wagnerites and other PMCs “are military wings and an extension of the Russian special services, they are murderers, they are pirates, they are marauders”.
Yusov also recalled the words of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, about punishing Russian criminals all over the world. “Professional and patriotic people are already preparing the following measures to reduce the ability of the aggressor state both in Africa and in other corners of the globe,” Yusov noted.
Russia’s Problems in Syria and Mali
Recall that it recently became known that in Mali, Tuareg rebels routed a large column of the Russian PMC “Wagner”. And Kyiv Post reported that Ukrainian special forces launched a comprehensive attack on a Russian base in Syria.
Journalist Andrey Popov calls this the opening of new fronts for Russia . According to him, Ukraine is now looking for and uniting those who are already fighting with the Russian Federation on other continents in order to exhaust it.
