The Government of Ukraine plans to finance missile projects under a separate state target program.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine wants to give the maximum impetus to the development of missile technology and rocket-propelled weapons.
The interlocutor of the agency noted that such registration in a separate program of missile weapons development until 2031 is due to the fact that the development of missile technology in Ukraine is a priority for strengthening the defense potential of the state.
This was preceded by a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on August 20, where the strategic defense bulletin was secretly considered. It was about a number of documents of strategic planning of the defense sphere.
The meeting discussed the development of missile weapons until 2031. This year, an additional UAH 3.3 billion should be allocated from the state budget for the development of Ukraine’s missile armament program.
According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, by 2031 Ukraine will spend over UAH 200 billion on the missile armament program.
The state target program is likely to include the development of a domestic operational and tactical missile system.
