They said that further arms supplies to Ukraine only lead to the weakening of the Bundeswehr
The Bundeswehr opposed the continuation of the supply of military aid to Ukraine .
This was announced by the head of the Union of Bundeswehr military personnel Andre Wüstner in an interview for RND .
“We perfectly understand Ukraine’s desire to receive heavy weapons. We can well imagine, for example, the supply of infantry fighting vehicles from the stocks of our industry,” he said.
According to Wüstner, further arms supplies to Ukraine will only weaken the Bundeswehr. In the Union of Military Personnel, many now fear that such a policy of “cannibalizing German troops” will lead to negative consequences.
“Therefore, our demand is this: no new deliveries from the arsenals of the Bundeswehr. And, no less important, the immediate acquisition of those weapons systems that have already been transferred!” Wustner summed it up.
Recall that in Germany they found another reason for refusing Ukraine in Leopard tanks . They believe that at this stage of the war, these battle tanks will be ineffective.

The Bundeswehr is already as weak as it can ever get. And, it can’t properly use weapons anyway. It’s not a real army, it’s more like the Boy Scouts. Weapons pose a danger for those wannabe soldiers. They are more useful for picking flowers and helping old ladies across streets. Might as well give all the weapons to a real army, a good army, like the Ukrainian one.
The hardware coming out of Germany seems to be junk anyways. The postulation that they need to keep what they doesn’t explained why they blocked other countries from supplying what they could. Upon review Spain declared after being blocked that the German equipment they had was crap anyways and Ukraine was probably better off without having to deal with the aggravation of it.
The Bundeswehr is correct, alas. But, not for the reason that may seem to be the case. the Bundeswehr has been seriously neglected and they were reduced to drilling with sticks rather than rifles. Their equipment stocks were already overly lean and also neglected. They have gotten budget increases, but they are starting from such a low level that it will take years to rebuild.
