The Defense Forces spoke about the consequences of Ukrainian drone strikes on the oil facilities of the “gas station country.”

Thanks to attacks by Ukrainian drones, 42.74% of the total design capacity of Russia’s oil refining was disabled, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported .

Moreover, the situation for the Russians is complicated by the fact that the deadlines for repairs to the affected facilities are constantly being postponed due to the inability to obtain the necessary spare parts and equipment.

In the last month alone, the Defense Forces have successfully struck 8 oil refineries. As a result, Russia has been forced to significantly reduce oil production, and a large-scale fuel crisis has begun within the country, which, according to Western analysts, could become the largest in history.

In addition to oil refineries, the Defense Forces also destroyed or critically damaged more than 60 storage tanks. Of these, 58% contained petroleum products and 42% contained crude oil. Total losses to Russia’s oil industry since August 2025 have reached $13.5 billion.
