The United States of America not only warned Russia about the preparation of a terrorist attack in Moscow, but also reported that it could be staged in Crocus City Hall .
According to The Washington Post , citing American officials, Moscow was informed more than two weeks in advance that this concert venue was a potential terrorist target. “This raises new questions about why Russian authorities did not take stronger measures to protect the site where militants killed more than 140 people and set fire to a building,” the newspaper writes.
The second possible target was a synagogue in the Russian capital. The very next day after the warning, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation announced the prevention of an attack by Islamic State militants on a synagogue in Moscow.
Teenager Islam Khalilov, who worked as a cloakroom attendant in the concert hall, helped people evacuate the building that night. In an interview, he said that employees were warned about the possibility of a terrorist attack.

Let us recall that on March 7, the US Embassy in Russia published a warning that in Moscow “extremists are planning to attack large gatherings, in particular concerts” in the next 48 hours.
Putin said that this “resembles outright blackmail and the intention to intimidate and destabilize society.”
Already on March 22, the largest terrorist attack in 20 years took place in Moscow – armed people opened fire in Crocus City Hall, after which they set the building on fire and fled. At least 139 people were killed.
The Russian Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, said that they were allegedly not warned about the threat of a terrorist attack. The White House said it had sent a private warning to Moscow .
Later, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said that the States gave them information of a “general nature.”

Now, for FSB agents to simply ignore such a warning, from the intelligence service of an ally which is an expert on islamistic terrorism, is impossible. It must have been a deliberate decision higher up in the command chain to let this happen. But by whom and why? 🤔

Strange that when the US warned muscovy of these attacks, muscovy then claimed the US must be involved. Yet nothing about Iran being involved.

The plot thickens, making it more likely that the Russian government knew of the attack but still let it happen, for reasons yet unknown. Whatever the Kremlin was thinking, they must have had something in mind that outweighed the blood toll, the damage to the reputation and the risk to increase tensions with muslim republics. An “Operation Valkyrie” to topple Putin? A pundit raised that idea at Charter97 some days ago. 🤔
