At least two men are known to have been tortured.

Russian television showed footage of the interrogation of men detained on suspicion of committing a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall . 

The video of the Federal Security Service was published by the propaganda Channel One. Those arrested claim that a certain Sayfullo told them after the terrorist attack to drive “towards Kyiv” and abandon the car at the Russian-Ukrainian border. 

There were supposedly “guys” waiting for them at the border, who would help them cross it and get to the capital. They claim that they were promised to pay 1 million rubles in Kyiv.

Propagandists claim that the men were detained 141 km from the border; they allegedly received instructions until the very end from a curator who prepared two corridors for them. At the same time, the story does not explain how exactly the attackers were supposed to cross the Russian border, and why Belarus stated that terrorists were trying to get into their territory.
