According to the latest data, the front line in the war in Ukraine is 1,218 kilometers long . Just a month ago, it was 1,253 kilometers, but thanks to the Armed Forces, it has decreased by 35 km.
This was announced by the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, during a meeting with the media. Yes, the enemy is making progress in some areas, but it is “worthless,” the general noted.

“According to data, not even ours, but the ISW Institute for the Study of War, the enemy’s advance rate in some areas is 1.5-4.5 kilometers per month. For example, in the Pokrovsky direction – about 1.5 kilometers. With daily losses of more than a thousand Russian soldiers, such advance is insignificant,” the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
According to him, according to combat regulations, the pace of attack during a breakthrough of prepared defenses should be 1-1.5 km/h, and against unprepared defenses – 1.5-2.5 km/h.
“I want to emphasize once again: the volume of Russian lies is many times greater than the real pace of advance of Russian troops. The enemy uses disinformation and its fake maps in a hybrid war against Ukraine, influencing both the foreign audience and our society and our army,” noted Oleksandr Syrsky.
He also said that ” in November, the enemy’s losses inflicted by our Unmanned Forces amounted to about 24 thousand people.” This is a record figure, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine specified.
The situation in the Pokrovsky direction
The Russian grouping in the Pokrovsky direction continues to grow, according to Syrsky , 156 thousand Russian invaders are already concentrated there. This makes the area one of the main centers of their offensive pressure. In addition, the enemy uses 40–50% of all its KABs on this part of the front, which significantly complicates the defense.
However, “the defense of Pokrovs’k continues, our troops control almost 13 square kilometers in the north of the city,” and ” Mirnograd is not surrounded,” emphasized Oleksandr Syrsky.
At the end of November, Syrskyi reported that within a week, Ukrainian forces had liberated 11.5 square kilometers of territory in Pokrovsk, more than a third of the city . Despite this, the Russian leadership continued to publicly claim that they had captured most of Pokrovsk.
