The Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported the death of its “esteemed colleague, the Belarusian Ambassador to Germany” only after independent media reports

Former Belarusian ambassador to Germany Denis Sidorenko fell from the window of a high-rise building in the capital  Minsk .

According to several independent Belarusian media outlets operating abroad, this happened on June 24 after the diplomat was interrogated by KGB officers. It remains unclear whether Sidorenko’s death was a suicide.

As the publication Bild notes , this case continued a series of mysterious deaths of Russian and Belarusian politicians and oligarchs. Since the beginning of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the number of such deaths has increased. Typically, such deaths are attributed to suicide.

Let us recall that in the fall of 2022, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei died suddenly.

It is noteworthy that the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported the death of the “esteemed colleague, the Ambassador of Belarus to Germany” only after independent media reports. The cause of death was not indicated in the official statement of the ministry.

“The circumstances of Denis Sidorenko’s death are tragic and show the criminal regime of Alexander Lukashenko. If the accusations against the KGB are true, the perpetrators should be included in the EU sanctions list,” commented Bundestag member Thomas Hacker.

What is known about Denis Sidorenko

  1. After the ‘interrogation’ he was kindly asked to jump from the 16e floor, or to choose for to jump by ‘force’. Its still unknown what his choice was.

  2. “It remains unclear whether Sidorenko’s death was a suicide. ”

About as unclear as a glass window.

  3. Strange that all these Russians choose a window to jump out. Must be a traditional thing.

    • In kremlin’s Gothic murderverse imagination is key. Defenestration has been a favorite method of removing political opponents since the early days of multistory buildings, but in the modern era, ruzzia has monopolized the practice.
