The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) have appealed to the Russian government to make mandatory vaccination against coronavirus for the entire adult population of the country.

From compulsory vaccination, Interfax quotes a statement signed by the heads of the FNPR and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Mikhail Shmakov and Alexander Shokhin, it is proposed to save those with medical contraindications or “the required level of antibodies.”

Mandatory vaccination, according to the authors of the statement, will help “continue to restore the pre-pandemic level of the economy and labor market,” as well as prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Russia.
