The family was just approaching the house: a child died as a result of a Russian attack in the Kharkov region

On the evening of Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Russian occupiers attacked the Kharkov region . As a result of the attack on the village of Borovaya, Izyum district, a 12-year-old boy was killed.

This was reported by the press service of the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office. It is noted that the Russians struck the village at about 21:20.

“Residential buildings and a kindergarten were damaged in the village. The exact type of weapons is being established,” the message says.

Under the procedural leadership of the Izyum District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkov Region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The head of the local PVA, Alexander Tertyshny, told Suspilna Kharkiv in a commentary that a 12-year-old boy died in the hospital as a result of a shrapnel wound.

“The boy and his parents were just approaching their house when it arrived. The boy was wounded, he was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but, unfortunately, (he was) mortally wounded. This is a street with only residential buildings, and they shot at it.” , he said.
