The fund, known as the European Peace Facility, has been an important part of European military supplies to Ukraine since February 2022.

The European Union is approaching an agreement on a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 5 billion euros. This is reported by the Financial Times .

According to four officials briefed on the progress of the discussion, the EU countries are going to agree on a new replenishment of the European Peace Facility fund, which is used to finance military supplies to Ukraine, for 5 billion euros. It is noted that this was preceded by several months of disputes regarding the rules for procurement of aid for Ukraine.

“The EU deal, which needs formal approval at a meeting of member states on Wednesday, opens up new funds to reimburse Kiev for supplies. Priority will be given to weapons produced within the bloc, but will not rule out buying weapons from third countries if it is the only option, officials said “, the article says.

The fund, known as the European Peace Facility, has been an important part of European military supplies to Ukraine since February 2022. However, the funds in it have already been exhausted.

  1. How often do I need to see “has come close.” Thank God my life hasn’t revolved around these politicians and their has come close words. They should be ashamed of themselves. Perhaps the electorate can use the same words when thinking of reelecting these individuals.

    • I was thinking the very same thing, Cap, as I read the title.
Almost, about to, nearly, well-nigh, near, close, on the verge of, just about, practically … and a year has gone.
