The ban included Voice of Europe, RIA Novosti, Izvestia and Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The Council of the European Union has banned broadcasting in its countries four more media outlets that disseminate and support Russian propaganda and advocate military aggression against Ukraine.
As stated in a statement on the EU Council website , Voice of Europe, RIA Novosti, Izvestia and Rossiyskaya Gazeta were banned.
“These media are under constant direct or indirect control of the leadership of the Russian Federation and play an important role in spreading and supporting Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine, as well as in destabilizing neighboring countries,” the statement said.
At the same time, the ban will not prevent these media and their employees from carrying out activities other than broadcasting in the EU, for example, conducting research and conducting interviews.
The EU notes that Russia is waging a systematic international campaign of media and information manipulation, interference and gross misrepresentation to justify and support full-scale aggression against Ukraine, and to enhance its strategy of destabilizing neighboring countries, the EU and its Member States.
Russian propaganda
Russian propagandists constantly launch meaningless falsehoods. Recently, the Russians launched a fake story that the head of Ukrainian intelligence is supposedly in a German clinic after being “wounded.” According to them, he is “in a coma.”
RosTV also broadcast another nonsense – this time about 10-year-old children in Mariupol . Rospropaganda stated that Ukrainian children allegedly walked around the occupied city and killed Russian occupiers with knives.
