Russian troops struck the building of the Perinatal Center in Sumy .

This was announced in the Telegram channel by the head of the OVA, Andriy Yermak, Censor.NET reports .

According to him, the roof of the Perinatal Center caught fire as a result of a Russian strike.

“At the time of the attack, there were: 11 children, 35 patients, 120 employees inside. Everyone managed to get down to the shelter. The shelling continues,” the report says.

The hostile attack was also confirmed by the acting Mayor of Sumy, Secretary of the Sumy City Council Artem Kobzar.

“The explosion that we all heard in the city was an airstrike on one of the healthcare facilities.
Previously, it was Italmas. Fortunately, everyone was in shelter, so there were no injuries. All relevant services are working on the scene,” the report says.

“The threat of a second strike remains, so I ask you to stay away from windows and, if possible, stay in safe places,” he emphasizes.

“The enemy targeted a medical facility building in the Kovpakiv district of Sumy with a drone. At the time of the attack, there were 166 people in the facility, including 11 children. All people were in shelter at the time of the attack. There are no casualties. The threat of repeated attacks remains. Stay in shelters and do not ignore air raid sirens,” informs the head of the Sumy OVA, Oleg Hrygorov.
