Thanks to the successful operation, Ukrainian forces managed to disable three russian radars. This will enable more significant operations to be conducted on the temporarily occupied peninsula in the future
On the night of July 2, the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine conducted a special operation, during which a precision strike was delivered on a key russian radar reconnaissance facility in occupied Crimea. Three components of the multifunctional Nebo-M system, valued at hundreds of millions of dollars, were destroyed.
According to information from the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the operation took place near the village of Maiak. The strike was carried out using naval drones and the Lazar unmanned aerial vehicles, which successfully hit their targets with high precision.
The following were completely destroyed as a result of the strike:
- RLM-M 55Zh6M Nebo-M – 1 unit;
- RLM-D 55Zh6M Nebo-M – 1 unit;
- Command post for controlling the 55Zh6M Nebo-M radar – 1 unit.
These elements are components of one of russia’s most advanced mobile air defense systems, designed to detect aerodynamic and ballistic targets, particularly at high altitudes. According to various estimates, the cost of one such system can reach about $100 million.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the loss of three key elements of the Nebo-M system is a serious blow to the enemy’s capabilities in radar surveillance and air defense.

“This is a blow to the enemy’s eyes that were watching the Ukrainian sky. Such an operation significantly weakens the ability of russian occupiers to defend themselves against our air and sea attacks,” the Defense Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukraine’s Liutyi drones had halted Shahed production at russia’s Kupol plant in Izhevsk.

It appears Ukraine have something big planned for Crimea. The orcs must be running very low on air defences by now.
With these drones getting through easily enough to destroy those radars, it makes you wonder if those radars are even worth the drones.
If they are supposed to cost a $100 million, they are wasting their money.
My point is that if those drones get through to destroy those radars, then they can get through to destroy anything else.
Yeah you wouldn’t want to waste a Storm Shadow on a heap of junk when a cheap drone will do the job.
“they can get through to destroy anything else.”
…anything else that can be destroyed by a drone. But maybe ATACMS or other missiles that can carry a lot more explosives than a drone can wouldn’t be able to get through, and this is opening the door for the big bombs.
We have seen Storm Shadows, Neptunes, and Scalps getting through, too. Their S-400s are not as awesome as they claim them to be. Even Erdogoon realizes this now.
Are india and other brainless dorks who are buying ruskie junk taking notes of these strikes? But, they can keep wasting their money for all I care.
