The Czech Republic is investing 100 million euros in the renovation of Ukrainian hospitals. Which medical institutions will receive the money?

The Czech Republic is ready to take on the financing of the modernization of 13 hospitals in seven regions of Ukraine. To date, financing of six projects for a total amount of over 100 million euros has been preliminarily agreed under the Ukraine Facility program.

This was stated by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko. 

In particular, among the institutions that will receive support :

  • Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Victims of Repression named after Yuriy Lypa – 35.27 million euros,
  • Rivne Regional Hospital for War Veterans – 18.9 million euros,
  • Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital – 4.31 million euros,
  • Kryvyi Rih City Hospital No. 5 – 16.57 million euros,
  • City Clinical Hospital No. 16 in Dnipro – 14.93 million euros,
  • Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital – 10.27 million euros.

These are not just projects – these are real changes for patients. And we are grateful to the Czech Republic for its support and willingness to help Ukraine on this important path.

As reported, in mid-March, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the distribution of a subvention to local budgets in the amount of UAH 1.66 billion to finance public investment projects in the medical industry .

Earlier in March, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate UAH 207 million for a project to transform the medical system in Ukraine.

In January, the government adopted the Healthcare Development Strategy until 2030 , and also approved a plan for its implementation in the next three years.

It was previously announced that UAH 5.6 billion will be allocated for the modernization of medical institutions in Ukraine in 2025, and UAH 175 billion for the Medical Guarantees Program.
