Chinese President Xi Jinping has officially confirmed his state visit to Russia. He is set to take part in a military parade in Moscow on May 9, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said .
It is noted that the head of China will stay in Russia for four days.
“At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Russia from May 7 to 10 and will take part in the festive events marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which will be held in Moscow,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Kremlin previously announced that Xi Jinping would discuss with Putin the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries, and would also sign a number of documents.
“During the talks, the main issues of further development of comprehensive partnership relations and strategic cooperation, as well as current issues on the international and regional agenda, will be discussed,” the Kremlin statement said.

My opinion: President Zelensky already said that he can’t guarantee the safety of any leaders who decide to attend. So if Xi decides to go, he knew the risks. That’s not a reason for Ukraine to hold back.
