Great Britain provides Ukraine with the largest military aid package in history. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of the country on the social network Kh .

“Along with £500 million in military funding, the UK is providing vital equipment: 4 million rounds of ammunition, over 1,600 missiles, 400 vehicles, including 160 Husky vehicles,” the statement said.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that Ukraine will receive 500 million pounds of additional military funding from Great Britain. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth of Nations and Development of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland David Cameron thanked for such an initiative.

Cooperation between Ukraine and Great Britain

The British Embassy in Ukraine stated that the country seeks to conclude a 100-year partnership agreement with Kyiv . This is a new agreement that will build strong ties between the two countries across the spectrum of relations: from trade, security and defense, to science and technology, education, culture and much more.

In January 2024, Ukraine and Great Britain signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of security. Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak said that the new security agreement between Britain and Ukraine will serve as the basis for a partnership between the two countries that will last “100 years or more”.
