🟧 👀 ‼️ THE BATTLE FOR KOSTIANTYNIVKA MAY BE ABOUT TO BEGIN
⚔️🇺🇦 The battlefield around Kostiantynivka is rapidly changing, and the signs increasingly point toward the opening phase of a much larger Russian effort against Ukraine’s fortress belt in Donetsk region.
For weeks now, Russian forces have been shaping the battlefield around the city through:
constant FPV drone attacks,
artillery pressure,
glide bomb strikes,
reconnaissance missions,
and assaults on villages surrounding the approaches to Kostiantynivka.
The frontline map is beginning to tell the story clearly.
Russian pressure is building from multiple directions:
toward Ivanopillia,
Pleshchiivka,
Berestok,
Stepanivka,
and the eastern approaches leading toward the city itself.
Yet despite this growing pressure, Russian forces still face a massive problem:
the open terrain surrounding Kostiantynivka.
The fields around the city leave assault groups exposed to:
FPV drones,
artillery fire,
minefields,
and Ukrainian defensive positions.
For now, drones have become the real advance force.
Russian UAVs already hunt the roads leading into the city while artillery continues striking deeper into urban areas. The H-20 highway — one of the critical logistical lifelines sustaining Kostiantynivka and the broader defensive network — is already increasingly under drone surveillance and attack.
And this matters because Kostiantynivka is not just another city.
It is one of the gateways to Ukraine’s larger fortress belt:
the heavily defended urban chain that includes:
Kramatorsk,
Slovyansk,
Druzhkivka,
and surrounding defensive sectors anchoring Ukrainian control in Donbas.
If Russia hopes to advance deeper into the region, this line stands directly in the way.
Meanwhile, civilians are still evacuating.
For many families remaining inside frontline towns near Kostiantynivka, every passing day may represent one of the last opportunities to leave before the battle intensifies further.
The roads are becoming more dangerous.
The drones are already overhead.
And the shaping phase of the battle may already be underway

Ukraine repels record assaults in Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka
Record assaults repelled: Ukrainian defenders stopped 78 Russian attacks in Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Huliaipole sectors, marking the most intense fighting across the front.
Overnight strike intercepted: Air defenses downed or suppressed 507 of 546 missiles and drones launched overnight, though some reached targets in Dnipro and Odesa.
Russian daily losses: Russia lost 1,220 troops and over 280 equipment units in the past day, reflecting the high cost of ongoing offensives.
Ukraine repels record assaults in Pokrovsk sector
Ukraine’s General Staff reported 242 combat clashes in the past day, with Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Huliaipole sectors seeing the highest concentration of Russian attacks. Pokrovsk accounted for 32 assaults, Kostiantynivka 22, and Huliaipole 24, indicating continued Russian efforts to breach Ukrainian defenses along the Donetsk fortress belt. Despite the scale of attacks, Ukrainian forces maintained their defensive positions. Ukrainska Pravda

🟧 UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS HOLD THE “ROAD OF LIFE” NEAR KOSTIANTYNIVKA UNDER CONSTANT DRONE ATTACKS
⚔️🇺🇦 CNN followed Ukrainian soldiers traveling along one of the strategic roads near the Kostiantynivka frontline — a route now hunted relentlessly by Russian FPV drones.
During the trip, Russian drones reportedly attacked the road roughly:
15 times.
But what stood out was not panic.
It was the calm precision of the Ukrainian soldiers defending it.
Drone after drone appeared overhead, yet the troops responded with:
confidence,
discipline,
and experience earned through years of surviving one of the most drone-saturated battlefields in modern warfare.
The soldiers reportedly shot down incoming drones with remarkable precision while continuing movement along the route.
This is what warfare on the eastern front increasingly looks like now:
roads constantly watched from the sky,
vehicles racing between cover,
FPV drones hunting targets in real time,
and soldiers forced to make split-second life-or-death decisions every few moments.
And still, Ukraine continues adapting.
What once shocked soldiers at the beginning of the war has now become routine battlefield instinct.
The ability to spot,
track,
jam,
evade,
and destroy drones has become just as important as rifles and artillery.
Because near places like Kostiantynivka, survival itself now depends on mastering the skies only a few hundred meters overhead.

🟪 FOR THE FIRST TIME, A RUSSIAN DUMA DEPUTY OPENLY CALLS FOR THE WAR TO END
For the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, a deputy of Russia’s State Duma has openly stated that the war must end as soon as possible because Russia cannot sustain it indefinitely.
Renate Suleimanov, a deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), stated that the so-called:
“special military operation”
has already lasted longer than what Russia refers to as the “Great Patriotic War” — the Soviet Union’s fight against Nazi Germany during World War II.
According to Suleimanov:
“The earliest completion of the SMO is simply necessary.”
More notably, he openly acknowledged growing economic strain, warning that the Russian economy cannot withstand a prolonged continuation of the war.
And that statement matters.
Because for years, Russian officials and propagandists largely projected confidence:
that sanctions would fail,
that Russia could outlast the West,
and that time favored Moscow.
But increasingly, cracks are beginning to appear publicly inside Russia itself.
What makes the reversal even more striking is that in April 2022, Suleimanov reportedly argued that negotiations with Ukraine should happen only on the terms of total capitulation.
But reality intervened.
Instead of:
a quick victory,
Kyiv collapsing,
or Ukraine surrendering within days,
Russia now faces:
years of attritional warfare,
economic pressure,
drone strikes deep inside Russia,
mounting military losses,
and a war that has fundamentally reshaped the country itself.
And now even voices inside the Russian political system are beginning to openly acknowledge what many avoided saying publicly for years:
this war is costing Russia far more than the Kremlin expected.

Trump Denies Xi Told Him That Putin Would Regret Ukraine War

Sad but true :

That cartoon says it all …
Dave Axe :
“In pivoting to UGVs for resupply, the Ukrainians are hoping to thwart Russia’s normal strategy for defeating entrenched Ukrainian garrisons in urban areas. Time and again, Russian field armies have opted to starve Ukrainian garrisons in the best-fortified cities and towns before directly assaulting them.
A focused Russian campaign targeting Ukrainian trucks preceded the final Russian counterattack that finally dislodged Ukrainian troops occupying Russia’s Kursk Oblast in the spring of 2025. Russian glide bombs, drones and artillery pummeled the supply routes into Pokrovsk for months before the Center Group of Forces finally captured the city back in December.”
In other words, with no help at all, Ukraine must defeat a ginormous fucking horde of vermin with their own limited resources.
And they are almost totally dependent on superior drone technology to achieve this.
From Ukraine Brief :
“A propagandist said that losing to Ukraine is not shameful.
“Losing to Ukraine is not shameful, because Ukrainians are actually Russians. And Russians never lose,” said Konstantin Malofeev, founder of Tsargrad TV.
😆 Russian audiences are being prepared for defeat and given justifications for it.”
Interesting bit of spin from the putinaZi vermin.
