The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the ban on imports of cars from the Russian Federation to Ukraine. The relevant decision was made at a government meeting on December 23.

On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, a resolution was adopted to extend the embargo on imports into Ukraine of a number of goods, including cars – both cars and trucks. The ban will last at least until the end of 2022.

“Prohibit until December 31, 2022 (inclusive) the import into the customs territory of Ukraine of goods produced in the Russian Federation, in accordance with the list in the annex,” – said in a resolution of the Cabinet.

Note that the list of goods prohibited for import from Russia includes 183 items. These are both food and non-food products.
