Ukrainian troops are retaking new positions in the north of Vovchansk.
The Ukrainian defense forces managed to recapture a part of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region from the Russian occupiers, reports Bild .
The publication reminds that in mid-May, Russian troops occupied the northern part of Vovchansk and several central quarters. However, in recent days, the Ukrainian defenders managed to knock them out of the center. Russian soldiers report that part of the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces in the city are surrounded and cut off.
“Ukrainian troops are regaining new positions in the north of Vovchansk. Russian troops continued to retreat and attack the lost areas with aircraft, missiles and artillery,” reports Bild analyst Julian Röpke.

It is noted that in order to transfer reinforcements from the southern to the northern bank of the Vovcha River, the ZSU used the German Biber tank bridge-builder.

The Russian Armed Forces attacked it with a Lancet drone, but there are no signs that the crossing is now faulty, Röpke notes.

At the same time, the enemy is actively digging in and raising reserves to compensate for losses.

At the same time, according to him, it is quite possible to repel the enemy from Vovchansk.
Andrii Kanashevich, the head of the Kupyansk RDA, also stated that the situation in the Vovchansk region has now stabilized. The official said that fighting continues on the contact line from Synkivka to Ivanovka – Kislivka and further to the settlement of Berestovka.
